True of some, but for others it might have been the result of divorce, or death of a spouse. People should not be so quick to point fingers when they don't know someone's situation.

Even if this were true, does it really matter!!! Hey before the GOVERMENT OF ROME ISSUED MARRIAGE, THERE WERE MANY OUT OF WEDLOCK PARRENTS!!!!! Please marriage is government run and is not a decree in the Bible. It does say to obey the law of the land, pay what is owed to Caesar etc!!! (There are exceptions of course!!!) That's not to say it is not a good idea to make a public statement before God and family/friends. I did it and I'm very proud of it!!!

This is very stupid. Not even taking into consideration that someone may have passed away. People should really not assume such things.

My sister is a single mom. She was married to an abusive a$$hole. It was to stay married and die or to run away and start over alone. It's one of the worst assumptions people make.

Not always the case. Some couples get divorced, and sometimes, sadly, one of the parents die.

My dad was single after my mother died.
