Whatever you do, never suggest this around my wife, if you know what's good for you.

thanks to movies where most of the time redheads are portrayed as temperamental spitfires it could lead to that assumption. in real life they do not have anymore of a chance of having a fiery temper than anyone else.

Stark is a redheaded Scot. I know where the fuses are. I don't light them. I live to see another day...
Aside from that, I assume few things...
I will die
You will die
If you look for happiness, you will find it
If you look for misery, you will find it
Oscar will find the FrankenBerry

Becomes a self-fulfilling prophecy. . .a few redheads try to live up to this with mixed results. . .might come from the undue attention?

Nah. I was married to one redhead (well auburn, but close enough) and she had a fair dose of temper, but I've met lots who were meek, mild and timid.

If the red in the hair is because it is on fire, then, yes. And it happens with brown hair, black hair, white hair or blonds too.

Only in the movies and on TV.

Another ridiculous stereotype. Temperament knows no hair color.

Dumbest stereotype ever. I've met dozens of redheads, and not a single one of them was bad tempered; if anything, they seem (on average) to be more inclined to shyness. I suspect this myth originated back when the Scots and Irish were flooding into England and did not follow local norms of deference and emotional repression: red hair=barbaric foreigner.

Not true, but that certainly is the perception, at least regarding females.
