Politics is a worldly affair, and as such they all stand for different types of immorality. And that is especially the case with these two political parties. Both stand for the same relativistic moral ethics, albeit to different degrees and different contexts.

I think this is a bunch of hogwash. There is immorality in the Democratic party, but on the other hand you can listen to the news and read in the newspaper about plenty of Republicans that are immoral. What I can't understand is when a Democrat is immoral, it's quickly pointed out, but when a Republican is immoral, it's quickly swept under the carpet. Now, I want everybody to understand that I am not necessarily sticking up for Democrats. But people need to understand that immorality can be found in all parties of politics. Not just one.

My personal opinion: every political party have both immoral and moral views. That is why I'm registered as a non-partisan!

Any group of people that would incorporate the willful and allegdly lawful slaughter of children into their list of ideas that they support would lead rational folks to believe that they do indeed condone immorality. Any group of people that support taking a religous concept and perverting it to their own political ends while refusing to recognize that most people would oppose it again would lead folks to believe that they condone immorality. Just two of the party platforms for the DNC.

Clearly standing up for immorality is the winning strategy for 2008.

American politics seems so easy. 300 million different people: Two political parties. Pick one. Given that I think that no useful expression that starts with "All Democrats" or "All Republicans" could possibly be true.
lmorovan 05/14/2008
Wrong assumption. All politic parties can stand for or condone immorality. And all parties can stand against or condemn immorality. Parties are made of people, and as such, they have their opinions and views.

I suppose it all depends on how you define immorality.
If we're ignoring cruelty to the poor, neglect of our veterans etc., and focusing on S E X, then Tipper Gore seems to be as prudish as any Republican, and there seem to be many more Republican politicians recently getting arrested on morals charges than Democrats these days.

Again, another misconception by those who like to stereotype others. I'm definitely not a Democrat, but some of the nicest and most sincere people I know (and are close friends with) are, and they don't condone immorality whatsoever! This is another dumb assumption.

Dumb. Meaning that 'immorality' is defined by someone else's dogma- sorry, that's the philosophy of the people we're bombing, remember?

I thought that was all of Europe! (the peanut gallery rolls their eyes) UPDATE: I just knew that would grab an "un."
pugwash01 03/20/2007
I think this can be said about most politians, not just those in Europe!!!

There are good moral people in all parties; you wonder if they ever run for office... but to say all are immoral or even moral for that matter could not be further from the truth.
