None of the generalizations on any of these listings has much merit (unless there is one that says people who don't think Eddie Van Halen is the best.....ahhh....forget it!

Some people are humorless regardless of their personal religious beliefs.

I have yet to hear anyone ever make a statement to the effect that humourlessness is the exclusive domain of the faith-minded community. Most people will stand up to this type of thinking and quickly note that Conservatives are humourless too.

I am Christian, and I like to joke a lot when I talk to people.

It's a shame the believers of this assumption haven't met some of the Christians I know and love!

No, some have fine senses of humor and enjoy a good time.

Others appear to have pickles clamped in their colons.

The same can be said of almost any group of like minded people.

Indeed it is a common but wrong assumption. Christians can have, and sometimes do have, more fun than non Christians, because they don't have so many things to worry about in life.

Christians can joke around; they're just a little more particular about what they laugh at.

You don't think God has a sense of humor? Look at some of His creation!!

I really don't think God would want His people to walk around looking long-faced. I actually enjoy good clean comedy. There is a time and place for it, just like everything else.

Just because I'm a Christian doesn't mean that I can't have fun.  I go to the movies, listen to music, and watch TV just like any normal person, only that I'm careful of what I see and listen to.

I am Christian saved by grace and the finish work of Christ. I still commit sins in my flesh, we are still vile even as a Christian, we are corrupt, in this body of sin. Flesh and Blood shall not enter in heaven, ever wonder why? Because our sinful bodies are vile and die off. I have fun and still Rock! and tell decent jokes at times. Any one that claims they are a Christian and don't have fun, they are probably lost.

No..Again I am a fairly comedic person. Of course its funnier when you can hear my impressions/silly voices but thats regardless of the point.

The only people that are "stick in the muds" are people that actually believe this!! I know I can take a joke and enjoy having fun. But there is definitely a difference between "Joking" and being rude about someone’s faith!
