I of course ask for Mr Townsend and I see why you said speak to him, such a nice guy and WOW what help he was, staight away I knew he was my choice, he told me everything I was confused about and I didn't have to quess, he told me all the charges that others hid from me.
He explained all the charges to me on the spot which gave me confidence in him. I am still awaiting prices from others which to me seems that they don't know what they are doing, I was only moving from NY to Bedford UK ( which he knew where it was ).
The movers were good aswell and I hope to have my stuff in a couple of weeks.

I would like to express my thanks to NY International and most of all Mr Wayne Townsend my consultant. You should ask for him if he is available as he really knows his job far better than anyone else I spoke to in my research on whom to use for our relocation, And it was not easy, I was moving with my wife, 2 small children and a teenage daughter, so you can imagine our stress to begin with. And after talking to many companies we could not understand what really to expect or who to use or trust, But then luckily I found NY International online.
Wayne really made this part of our stressful move very easy for us, He really knows his job. He explained to me what to expect and we had no issues or surprises from start to finish.
He even stopped by our Townhouse in person to talk to us and give us tips and advise and his estimate was perfect. As soon as we met him we all felt a huge weight lift of our shoulders. He is very informative and very knowledgeable and it especially felt good speaking to someone who really knew where Oxford was and he answered every question we asked him without any hesitation.

We really did make the right decision.

On the day of pick up the crew turned up on time and were so professional and careful.
I could not believe my eyes, these guys wrapped up everything even the furniture better than I can wrap presents, its a joy to watch, just that was worth the money.
They left our apt empty and clean and I did feel at ease with my choice.
BUT i still had to wait and stress waiting to see how it arrived !!!!

Today I received a call from my wife who is in Oxford UK, to tell me that the delivery crew had just delivered our goods and set everything up for her and everything is in the same shape as it was when it left NY. Perfect !!!! She and the kids are very happy which makes me so happy.
I cant explain the feeling I have, I was so concerned that this would be a nightmare as I have been burnt a couple of times moving locally in NYC. But this was so easy.

I would like to share my experience with NY International Shipping.

We recently relocated from California to Castelsagrat, France.
The whole experience from A-Z was great and professional.

We have 2 kids and were very nervous about the move (after being burned once by a local moving company).

We decided that this time we will do a better research. So we checked all the licenses, reputation and even talked to a few customers of theirs to see how their experience was.

When everything seemed legit we decided to book with them. The crew was great, packed our entire house. Then we had a contact person who kept us updates and helped us with all the documents (thanks Pat ).

We just received our shipment and did not have any damages (thank god).
Our kids are happy to finally have all their toys back and be so close to grandma. 

my Family and I relocated from Texas to Dubai and we found NY International Shipping online.
After carefully reviewing their web site, talking to their Relocation Consultant and even had an in home survey we decided to use them for our Overseas relocation.

As I was moving overseas with work, I contracted NY International shipping to arrange for my international move from New York to Brazil. They were extremely helpful throughout the process and extremely friendly and supportive. They’re no fuss kind of people, just working with me to make the move as smooth as possible. They were convenient for me since they were located in Manhattan and I could just drop in and get the boxes, tape, and etc, whenever I needed.

I was especially difficult since things kept changing all the time with my move like the time of move, destination, [the length of] time my stuff needed to stay in storage. I ended up moving some of it to one address and the rest stayed in storage and was later moved to another address. Even though, I did not have the right serial number of what I needed to move where, all it took was a call to David explaining which pieces I needed to move and it was done correctly, conveniently, and I did not need to bother to dig up all the paperwork.

On moving day, the movers were very courteous, efficient, professional, and the packing was done quickly with no hassle. What I can say? I would work with them again any day and would highly recommend them to anyone. This was not my first moving experience, but I can say it has been the smoothest to date.

DO NOT USE NY SHIPPING.

i used them for my move to Australia. everything was later or more expensive than they led me to believe.

i did not do enough research on them and was misled by their seemingly professional website and personnel.

i was told that the shipment should take 6-8 weeks. it ended up taking 16-17 weeks!!

my shipment ended up costing about $1500 more than they led me to believe it would cost.
when i called to complain, i was told that the agent who was dealing with me (his name was DON) does not work there and they apologize for what he led me to believe.

if you decide to go ahead and use them, remember - they will always be the ones who are right, and they have it all written in their contracts to back them all the way.
the manager said to me: "you signed the contract, why did you not read all the terms and conditions", to which i replied, "certain charges were explained differently to me by your agent", to which she replied "but you signed our contract".

i will definitely not refer anyone to use them.

We finally got our house in Denmark and almost done unpacking.
I never thought that moving could be so stressful especially with a kids.

Really bad moving company. As soon as they received my check calls and emails went unanswered. Delivery was a month late and there were tons of charges added on from both the movers and the deliverers. Many of my boxes are missing and 1/2 of my shipment is damaged. I understand it takes longer to move over seas but this company needs to learn about customer service.
And the packing company they used told me my $100 tip was not enough (for 3 hours of work)
I wish i had seen all of the reviews before i used them.

November 4th.
At the moment it looks like a NIGHTMARE!
This shipment (USA - Italy) is taking FIVE MONTH!!!! When I did the inverse moving, just 2 month were necessary.
After they picked up my stuff, I didn't hear from anyone for weeks!
Finally after several weeks and international phone calls I received an invoice that was more than double the original quote! I thought it was because they did a very bad estimation on the volume I was needing, so I paid without any complain. Right now I'm receiving a $1000 extra bill from the Italian mover! The funny thing is the contract I signed was for a DOOR-TO-DOOR service!
Like all the other REAL customers, I had my emails ignored or very late replyed.
Not to mention their website with the FAKE tracking system...
I hope at least all my stuff is not broken;

These guys are awful. Totally useless. Delivery took over three months, and several items lost or damaged. To be fair, they are only freight forwarders, so do not have total control over each stage of the move, and they are cheaper than their better quality competiton, however the movers they sent to pick up the shipment in New York (where they should have decent control over their suppliers) were total amateurs. Items were badly packaged, and several items were shipped without being packaged into the proper moving boxes. In addition, the one area where they have total control, ie in dealing with customer queries and documentation, they are abysmal. Different staff contradict each other and frequently themselves, and take ages to get back to you with anything (if they ever do get back to you). The quotes are also not all-inclusive (we were stung for movers tips that appeared non-negotiable and excessive at both ends, as well as unexpected customs clearance fees (again out of NYIS' direct control, but they should have been able to give a rough guide to such costs, and no warnings were given). Finally all of the positive reviews on this site look very similar, as if they have been written by the same illiterate marketing graduate hired by NYIS. Smells fishy to me. In summary, sell all of your cheap furniture, only take ship you need, and pay the extra for a professional mover to get it to your destination on time and in one piece.

Don't do it. This is the biggest mistake you will ever make. When I get finished making my insurance claims I'll find the time to report the details. For now, please take my advice and DON'T MAKE THIS MISTAKE. This company will SCREW YOU!

Don't use this company - we did and boy did we regret it. Our shipment was late, no communication, just an really sad experience. Shop elsewhere and don't trust them.
Also, as I read the other reviews I realized they can't all be true - no one is that good. My bet - they company wrote them and posted the reviews. Do not trust this company or their slick marketing.

I work for an international company and had to move four times already to a different country.
