Those aren't sharp pats on your back from the hug you just received from your caring, compassionate coworker, those are the knives being placed strategically in your back for when they decide they need to start climbing the corporate ladder.

My co-workers area bunch of a great people many of whom my friends outside of a work place. I do occasionally turn to them, they are warm and considerate people.
