Overall, family is one of the few things one can always rely on....unless you are part of the Jackson 5.

I'll still call my parents on pretty much anything.  My Mom is the relationship guru and Dad is the finance/business/friendship guru.  Friends are good and they have your best interest in mind, but parents, well their your parents.

Usually my mother or my brother.

The only thing I can say on this issue is I know I can go to my family any time of the day or night with anything. I love my family very much; they mean the world to me.

I have no siblings, and both my parents are dead, so not directly.

I sometimes run through what I think my father would do in certain circumstances though.

Even if I don't use his advice, I still feel better for having talked to my dad about a problem.  Just the act of having to talk it out in a rational way with someone who will be honest and opinionated helps me get to the crux of the issue.  My dad would be that kind of sounding board for me.

Both of my parents have inspired me. They have worked so hard toget where they are today.

Depending on the crisis, they can be the best, or the worst, since they will have their own agendas.  The best friend is probably a better choice.

Only a couple of them...

I love my family, and I'm sure for many people family can be very helpful in a time of crisis, but I have always hid any major emotional issues that I had from them.  Not only do I want to worry them with my problems, but I know that it isn't in their nature to provide useful insight so much as "what SHOULD have been done", which isn't entirely helpful at the time.  Family is a great comfort for many people in times like these; for my family, though, I'll take my chances on my own.

I always turn to my mom and my two sisters. Who understands your pain better than a mother's heart and who supports you when you fall better than your siblings? What can I say - my family is my rock!

Can be good, but sometimes an outside source can be more objective.
