04/01/2007 | Yes, the southern tier states receive more sunshine than the
northern tier ones. However, I fail to see what New Mexico and
Tennessee have in common other than some sunshine and a common
currency. 3 stars though because Sunbelt has a nice ring to it.

03/25/2007 | A region of the US; roughly south of a line drawn between Washington D.C. and Central California. A very useful and poetic regional designation, which came into use in the 1960s and 70s as the previously backward Southern US rapidly modernized and became a popular vacation/retirement area.
