Jesus H. Tapdancing Christ, I'd rather buy electronics out of the trunk of a Chevy behind a beer parlour from a guy called Vinnie than deal with these ratbags.

COSTCO is consistently the best place for price and service one can trust. The stores are manned by real people and they treat you like a real person when you shop there. In fourteen years of shopping at COSTCO, I have never once been let down. Returns are easy, with no questions asked. They have even gone the extra mile on an electronics item that failed - refunding my entire purchase price. If you are thinking about cellular phone service, shop COSTCO first. They consistently beat corporate offerings on equipment, and their service levels are tripple what you find at corporate stores. They also rebate any account activation fees charged by the wireless carrier.

Cosco is awsome, but, their electronics only gets a 3 which is higher than BJS or any other store like it.

If I'm looking for a surround sound system or new tv I'll shop here.

It's OK if you buy in bulk. And by the time you buy the membership card you can really find better buys other places.

Costco isn't an electronics store. It's a warehouse, particularly good for small businesses and extraordinarly good for small food service businesses. If I am to rate Costco overall, I'd give them a "5" considering the several years of experience with them. But, if I were to rate only their electronics section, it's only a "3". Based on my experiences in the Glen Burnie, MD, Arundel Mills/Hanover, MD and the Jacksonville, FL locations, I'd have to say they're pretty consistant throughout (I will give much credit to the Glen Burnie location; they were always nice, maybe because my family had gone to that location since I was very little). They DO have a lot of items (large HDTVs, some prebuilt computers, some accessories, some digital cameras, bundled game consoles, etc.), but they've got a very limited selection of DVDs, CDs and software. But, generally, you're not going to Costco for its electronics. If you want something specific, you're probably going to go to a store that specializes in electronics.
