 | absalom (0) 12/21/2005 | One of the best science centers in the country. (I like the Exploratorium, afterglow70, but it's not quite the be-all, end-all of science and tech centers.) The St. Louis Science Center has a great Omnimax theatre, a great huge kinetic sculpture in the lobby, and the best planetarium in America (lie under the stars, ask to see what the sky looked like when you were born). The latter two set it apart, although other galleries are fine. Don't miss the Science Park area outside the McDonnell Planetarium in Forest Park. I would suggest that they pick up the fundraising pace for the dino exhibits and commit to a new young-children's space.

 | OneHungryMonster (2) 09/01/2004 | This really, really surprised me. I thought it would be boring, and we just went because it was free and was air-conditioned. It was actually pretty cool. The only things I didn't like were the bullet-holes in the windows--that kind of creeped me out.

 | afterglow70 (1) 06/12/2001 | Once you have been to some place like the Exploratorium in San Francisco, nothing could ever match up to that. This place was ok, not really a lot to see.
