I would have never thought they could have found a good enough match to take Nellie Oleson's place as Wicked Witch of the West, but they did really good. That part fit her like a glove.

Totally love the Nancy! She was just such a little mean girl who usually got what she wanted, but also got what she deserved for sure...like when her own mother dunked her in the Mermaid tank. Yaahhhooo! That was great. The actress, Allison Balson, portrayed this character perfectly.

Dispicable and then some. What a horrible kid. She almost(but not quite) makes Harriet Oleson seem sweet and loving. Overall I can't see what she added to the show. Nellie grew up and the wanted to continue the story line of a little witch daughter. One Nellie was more than enough. If the goal was to make you hate this kid, they succeeded.

After a fully-changed Nellie moved to New York with her husband Percival, Harriet Oleson (still as witchy as ever) was lonely for someone to fill the void of her departed daughter. So the Olesons visit an orphanage to find a girl to adopt, and are about to give up when up popped wicked little Nancy, every bit as bad as her older sister used to be. Her main line was the whiny "everyone-hates-me" routine, probably done so it would be a little bit different than Nellie's character. Nevertheless, Allison Balson who portrayed her did an excellent job at making this character believable. Ironically, both parts of the "mean girl" were both played by an Allison (Alison Arngrim played Nellie), and the main "good-girl" roles were played by a Melissa (Gilbert, Anderson, Francis).
