Fake, scripted, and too many commercials...

No my interest in this kind of sweaty passion play was never very high and has steadily declined.

Last year, out of morbid curiosity, I went to see a local rasslin troup perform at a community hall. They were hilarious, both intentionally and otherwise, and it was pretty clear from the muscle tone, that steroids weren't involved.

...and a revision. I stopped watching wrestling since I didn't like the mortality rate from drug related deaths and I didn't want to give this sweaty man opera my money if their stars were going to keep dropping dead.

 I would have to agree with IJR, wrestling was more funner to watch, during the 80's and earlier 90's  especially  with Ric Flair, Ted "Million Dollar Man" DiBiasi, The Iron Sheik,  Junkyard Dog, Rowdy Roddy Piper,  The Ultimate Warriors,   Superfly Jimmy Snuka, The Road Warriors and Jake "The Snake" Roberts.

Other than NBA games, wrestling is the only thing I watch on a regular basis anymore. So it's not high level entertainment. Big deal. I'm a physics grad student, I have to think hard enough during the day. I don't want to think when I watch TV. I was worried that it might look fake in person, but a couple years ago when they were in town I went with my little brother and it was awesome.  I'll admit there are some extremely dumb moments (anyone else remember May Young giving birth to a plastic hand?), but for the most part I find it very entertaining.

Numbah and I have been to every televised show in Phoenix since Summerslam 2003.
