It worked great for about 5 or 6 months and then it's effectiveness fell off. 3 years later, it barely handles my dandruff. I use it 3 times a week and let it set for about 3-4 minutes in a warm shower. It does keep my dandruff from going off the scale, but it isn't nearly as good as it was when I first started using it.

Nizoral did more than get rid of my dandruff. It completely cleared up on the first application reddish brown skin blotches on my chest, scalp and groin that would flair up after a shower after living with this for twenty years. I soon applied it to my face and got rid of severe thick flaking that covered my chin and around my mouth that flaired up several days after shaving. I lived with this for about fifteen years and it got so bad it became worse than my dandruff to where it felt like I could almost rub a complete layer of skin off my face with my fingers with flakes trailing down my clothes. I also no longer suffer from dry skin on my face after applying Nizoral. To me it's a miracle remedy after trying so many different brands of dandruff shampoos for so many years. Nothing worked except Nizoral.

I'm currently finishing up year 2 of med school, and this stuff is one of the best clinical gems I've discovered thus far! In one of our Derm lectures, the prof/clinician mentioned Ketoconazole as being the treatment of choice for dandruff, and that it's far superior to anything with Pyrithione zinc or Tar because it directly targets the mite responsible for dandruff (Pityrosporum ovale). As a sufferer myself, I went out and got it and I'm FREAKIN THRILLED!
It doesn't kinda work, this stuff WORKS! I recommended it to a friend, and he's been equally pleased. Well worth the expense!
