Barkerville, B.C. 4

A former gold rush town (from the 1850's) which has been heavily restored as a historic site. During the summer its full of interpretive actors and is actually a pretty entertaining place, no matter how old you are. Makes no attempt to clean up the history, either, as it includes a recreated opium den and several brothels (none of the above functioning, I might add) A little on the remote side, being hell and gone away from anywhere, but worth the detour if you're in the Cariboo region. Pretty much inaccessible once the snow starts though.
