I used to buy this all the time based upon a friend's advice. I was having trouble sleeping and never attributed the problem to any medication. Then I did some research and discovered I could create my own (just weaker) version. Claritin-D will work wonders if you are close to having a sinus infection and save you a trip to the doctor. To alleviate my insomnia, I decided to go with a (1)Wal-itin (has same effective ingredient as Claritin, Loratadine tablet, 10 mg.) and then (2) regular Sudafed tablets. I am sleeping much better. It's also cheaper. For those rare occasions when I really need the best result, I will take the occasional (1) Claritin-D since it's effective. Always check with your doc *first* to make sure you can take this med. Any OTC med can cause problems for some people.

Amazing how I'm allergic to an ALLERGY medicine!

Don't mix with alcohol, that often explains the side-effect known as the "DT"s. Switch to the prescription alternative, Clarinex, if you face a more permanent congestion condition.

I got very nervous and shaky on Claritin-D but the regular Claritin works well.

This gets the job done and you only have to take it once / day.

Works the best for me. I try to buy the store brands and save some money. I don't see any difference in the original vs a copy...
