In 1982, Jimmy and Rosalynn Carter, in collaboration with Emory University, founded the Jimmy Carter Center as a committment to advancing human rights and alleviating unnecessary human suffering. En route to this goal, the Center has promoted democracy, agriculture, and public health in many countries and continents. Outside, the surrounding greenery is noteworthy, as well.
