A very productive DH, one of those who defined the role. Had a long and successful career that, while it isn't really Hall of Fame worthy, isn't far off.

04/30/2007 | The best overall #1 baseball pick in the 70's, Baines was a good hitter. Injuries and a general slowness made him a DH pretty early on, but although not a great player, a fine hitter with power who drove in a lot of runs in his long career.
