He's kind of mellowed somewhat in his old age- for me, his low point was the whole spying on Winfield thing...I like the nickname Gammons made up for him "Phineas T. Bluster." A figure that would get more than 3 stars in his prime.

Has achieved a measure of success, in that the Yankees have had two periods of greatness during his ownership.

Has also managed to turn the team into a bizarre soap opera at times, with nutcase trades, revolving door managers, and owner histrionics reminiscent of a Three Stooges short.

We appear to be on the verge of another such episode as I write this.
