ItemImageFormer MLB second baseman and manager of the New York Yankees on several different occasions. Known for being able to win with any team, argueing with umps and kicking dust on their feet, drinking too much, and not getting along with younger players. One of his pitchers, Ed Whitson, broke one of Billy Martin's arms.

Ironically enough, he's buried only several feet away from the legendary Babe Ruth in a Catholic cemetery in NY's Westchester County (James Cagney, Dutch Schultz, and Sal Mineo are buried in the same cemetery). The day we were there, someone had left a bottle of Kahlua on Billy's grave. I think Billy probably would have appreciated the gesture.

As far as paranoid drunks go, this guy was pretty much the poster boy.
