Have a yearly pass to this zoo ~ sometimes I wish I didn't!  Too many closed exhibits!  The Kangaroo walk IS COOL and the Ring of Life ~ Polar Bear exhibit ~ would be awesome, but too many people at one time!  LOTS OF WALKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Too sprawling. Made for animals (maybe) but not for human visitors. For a great Michigan zoo, go to (1) the John Ball Zoo in Grand Rapids, or (2) the Belle Isle Zoo in or on(take your pick) the Detroit River. You walk on skywalks above the animals at the later. ...Cy

I liked all the stuff there and everything but this place is too big though and I'm not the kind of guy that likes to walk that much.

The butterfly house is pretty cool and the arctic ring of life is just awesome, it alone is worth the trip. The zoo could use a few more updates to it's exhibits but they are continually making them better. I would recommend going early in the morning and when the weather is a bit cooler, the animals are alot more active.

This Zoo has come along way! It is a lot better than some other zoos. They have a wide variety of animals. Alot of walking though.
