I know I am going against the grain here, but the first Lizzie was the last of the murderous, grasping Tudor dynasty. Good riddance. She was as bloody and more so, in some respects, as any of the other Tudors, but she has better press from the fawning Whig Historians who dominated the history of that era. The
Whig Interpretation of History really was the political correctness of the 18th and 19th Centuries when the great histories of that era were written.
She slaughtered her cousin, Mary Queen of Scots to gain advantage and committed many other crimes. Was she effective? I suppose so if you are into that type of leadership.
