Tons of fun! Be prepared to walk ~ a lot!! Great family place..and I am not just saying that because I am from here. Little ones may get bored, though.

I visited The Henry Ford Museum this August and I enjoyed it. Just looking at how much automobiles have changed was interesting. Some of my favorite exhibits there were the Oscar Mayer Weinermobile, the car John F Kennedy was assassinated in and the chair Lincoln was shot in.

A very interesting place to visit. Henry Ford Museum has many attractions to see. Of course all kinds of cars going back from the start.a few of the presidential cars. including the car Kennedy was riding in when he was killed.many topics like slavery, womens rights the bus Rosa Parks rode that made her famous.old trains and many other exhibits. in Greenfield village that is connected it is like taking  step back in the past. all kinds of buildings that famous inventors lived Like Edison, George washington carver, Noah Webster, a working farm from the 1800s. a nice slice of history if you are interested on what it may have been like to live in the 1600s1700s and 1800s. old school houses, cabins. Edisons laboratories where he made his inventions. the list goes on . worth the trip to both places. we bought the family offer so can go for up to a year as many times as we want.  in you are interested in history a good place to visit for a day. Located in Dearborn Mi. home of Henry Ford.

The Ford Museum of techonology includes replicas of seemingly every major car design every made, as well as bicycles, motocycles, trains, planes, clocks, firearms, power-generating equipment, and every other kind of technological artifact you can imagine. In the US, the only technology museums that compare are the Chicago Museum of Industry and the Smithsonian's Air and Space museum; Ford tops them both. Greenfield Village is a nice place to stroll, and the house recreations are well-done. The museum and village are not located in Detroit proper but in the suburb of Dearborn. IMO, Dearborn itself is worth the visit, it's like steping back into the 1950s: Every building is named Ford-this or Ford-that, everyone drives American cars, there are few yuppies but lots of prosperous blue-collar-types, and giant factories with billowing smokestacks. See it-before it's gone.

The museum and village are separate and you could easily spend a whole day looking around each one. The village has actual homes, furnishings and buildings from history. For example, you can walk through Thomas Edison's actual laboratory and see demonstrations of some of his inventions. This is a great place for adults and kids.

I used to go here growing up often. It is a great place for families. They also have special Holiday events like trick or treating through Greenfield Village at Halloween and a special Christmastime events also.
