Isn't that the truth!

Man, that's so true nowadays. I can't remember the last time I slept till noon!

Nah. During the past year or so, I've been working nights, and with more-than-occasional overtime, I often end up crawling into bed just as the birds start singing. Only difference is that when I did it as a young(er) man, I often went to bed drunk. Now I just go to bed tired.

You know what hurts? I can't even make it to last call without thinking "it's my bedtime". And I'm completely sober, but I'm just tired. Yet, my friends down here are actually a few years younger than me, and they're not making it, either.

it is still not my time of choice to get up. I read once that each of us have our own body timeclock for sleep hours and mine sure is not getting up at six thirty, which is when I get up to have my kids off to school for the last 17 years. for those in the work force this seems to be the average time to get up.

I'm still making this transition... it's not fun.

When I was younger, the running joke was that if someone mentioned that they had to be somewhere or do something at 6 a.m. we would reply "You mean to tell me there is a six o'clock in the MORNING too?" But I soon learned the hard way, when I was in University, I had a summer job working on the railroad that required me to be on the job at 6:00 a.m..

Sigh! The problem really is that you can't sleep, any more, past six, and you might as well get up.
