I was on a road trip with some fraternity brothers, and the only music that I had that they would tolerate was the Garth Brooks tape In Pieces, which contains this song. So we looped this tape almost non-stop on the drive from Cedar Rapids, IA to Evansville, IN. We must have played that tape at least 20 times. By the end of the trip, everyone in the car knew all the words to every song. It was also required to sing (or sometimes yell) along to "American Honky-Tonk Bar Association" and "Kickin' and Screamin'" every time.
