 | ugtr (7) 06/21/2007 | How many countries helped rebuild San Fransisco after the 1906 earthquake? How many countries stepped up to help America out of the Great Depression? How many countries gave us aid in the recession of the 1980's? How about assistance quelling the 1992 LA riots? How many countries assisted us when the WTC was demolished? The answer to all the above questions is none. America is a sovereign nation fully capable of handling her own
problems. We didn't ask for and consequently didn't recieve help from any other nation. Other countries should do the same. If they request assistance, America should consider it and act only if it is in the best interest of her citizens. I don't advocate isolation, I just don't think we should participate in struggles that are not our own. I certainly think it is wrong to butt our heads into the affairs of others uninvited. I'll bet Americans would be pretty peeved if Canada had decided to send some troops to keep the peace in LA when the riots broke out. It is not illogical to assume that the presence of uninvited Americans in another nation is not viewed the very same way.

Let the US stand on their own two feet, it's Bush's war, no-one else's. Those soilders should be home with their families. That muppet at number 10 - Blair - has left his country in a mess now that he's decided to step down and a lot of issues need to be addressed in the UK. We can start with having a Megans law over here to protect children and parents from paedophiles and we need to do something about knife culture and spiralling debt.
