 | EschewObfuscation (61) 08/13/2007 | Is Barack Obama able to do this? Two hundred thirty years of corruption and an inexperienced, articulate, 1st term senator from Illinois can clean it all up? Has he shared this plan with Americans yet?

And good friggin' luck changing it.
You won't change the system. It will change you. Trust me on this one.

 | SchadenfreudianSlip (18) 06/20/2007 | Frankly, I LIKE it when they argue and bicker. The system is designed to air arguments and bickering. I WANT Dems and GOPpers to disagree, but I do want them to work together once they have agreed to do something. Having two parties in opposition represents at least a large majority of We the People. I cringe when congresspeeps toss around the term "bi-partisan," because I know it means watered-down crap that answers no one's needs. Yes, after having heard all sides to a bill or amendment, then I think it's incumbent upon each representative/senator to vote as their principles dictate (and not how they think their constituents want them to vote).

 | LadyJesusFan777 (34) 06/20/2007 | A good start to our clean up procedure would be to get along and start
working together instead of fighting and bickering. Then, maybe
we can see something get done in Washington.

 | YaVon (6) 06/20/2007 | This seems like a fairy tale, and probably could never be achieved, by Obama or anyone else.
