 | FranksWildYears (48) 08/15/2007 | There is nothing that politics or politicians can or should do about strengthening families. We would actually be better off if they steered clear of this subject all together, because they naturally bring with them the biases of ideology and special interests that government has no business forcing on individuals. They have a basic responsibility to support the infrastructure and security of communities, but should stay out of the business of dictating its values.

 | kamylienne (77) 06/20/2007 | So far, I'm not finding any of these "issues" devisive at all. Who DOESN'T want to "strengthen families and communities"? Of course we want to better our community! The only question is HOW that is to be achieved, and what our definitions of "strengthening" entails.
