I rate this 4 stars only in the Canadian whiskey category. Most mid-shelf bourbons are better. It is pretty smooth but lacks any real special flavors. If you like Black Velvet and the like, this is a step up. Although I find the Black Velvet 10 yr. is more to my liking.

Any who are Crown Royal or Pendelton Drinkers owe it to yourself to try Tangle Ridge. This 10 year old is soooo ssmmmooottthh and yet it has such a nice flavor, the double cask aging imparts a sweet flavor. For about half the price of Crown it's bargin. After drinking Tangle Ridge I find Crown a bit bland and boring.
