Talk about irony....One of the strangest openings to a big hit of the period( and Donovan's last major hit)- even in a strange time. The first part has some nice piano work as Donovan narrates a sort of tribute to Atlantis that comes across as gobbledygook . The repeated chorus is good, much better than the intro, and has a nice guitar break in the middle...

A mythological history lesson, gently whispered above a soap opera "make out" music style bed...followed up by a sing-along style chorus that will have you fighting the temptation to wave your arms over your head in time to the music...(ala 'Hey Jude', 'We Are the World', etc.)
