As it was, the package of Clemens, Pettite, Wells, Cone and Key were more than good enough to deal with the opposition, particularly given the kind of run support the offense provided.

 | oscargamblesfro (76) 07/05/2007 | Certainly a great collection of careers- Clemens, Key, Wells, Cone, and Pettitte, with guys like Scott Kaminiecki, El Duque Hernandez, and 'Fat Toad' Irabu, who was something of a bust, helping out. Only Pettitte can be really thought of as really playing for the Yankees in his prime though, the other guys peaked elsewhere...
