Update: This draft is looking amazing for the Sonics/Thunder after two years. Durant and Green were the top two scorers and second and third rebounders for Oklahoma City this past season. They improved just slightly this past season, but both of these guys made big strides in their game in their sophomore seasons. The Thunder should be a team to watch as these guys grow. 6/26/2008 - After a year this still looks like an amazing draft by the Sonics. They did have an awful record this year, but Jeff Green and Kevin Durant led the team with 80 games played each. Durant didn't shoot well, but did manage to average 20 PPG, while Green chipped in over 10 PPG. As they adjust to the NBA game, Seattle should see their win totals rise. However, at least they did well to identify and acquire two of the better talents in the draft.
7/1/2007 - The Sonics were the clear winner in the draft. Not only did they get a once in a lifetime type of player in Kevin Durant, but they got rid of a vet on his last legs for another one of the top college players last season in Jeff Green. Picking up Delonte West and Wally Sczerbiak(sp) just makes this move a rip off. The Sonics are quickly a better team, and while they may not compete right away in the Western Conference, I see great things down the road for them.

Yeah, Durant, plus they got Szczerbiak in a trade.
