Update: I'm heading back to my original rating of a four for this draft. Horford was solid again in his second season, but Law did very little. Still a positive draft, but I can't rate it a five when I look at what Seattle did. 6/26/2008 - ***** A year after the 2007 draft, I need to rank the Hawks a star higher with a 5. Al Horford had an amazing rookie year, starting almost every game for the Hawks and nearly averaged a double double. In fact he did average a double-double in their intense, 7 game playoff series with the eventual champs, the Celtics. Acie Law IV wasn't quite as successful, but did contribute during the season and in all 7 playoff games.
6/30/2007 - **** Its hard not to like what the Hawks did. They took Al Horford and Acie Law IV, who were both big time college basketball players in big time college programs. They will both contribute a lot for Atlanta, and I think they made some pretty solid choices.
