The Suns didn't handle this draft well at all. They traded away the rights to Rudy Fernandez, who had a great rookie season this past year for Portland. It seems to me the Suns could have used Rudy more than the couple of million dollars they picked up in that deal. Meanwhile, Alando Tucker has barely played through two years and DJ Strawberry is no longer with the team. If Tucker's first round contract wasn't guaranteed for three years, then he would likely be off of the roster. The Suns were on the verge of a Championship several times, but they made a string of really poor personnel choices over the last several years.
