Not as bad as some other covers but could have used some help.

This was a great song; very much a slice of history in the context of the period in which it was masterfully created by Don McLean.  The fact that Madonna felt the need to put her greasy paw prints all over it is nothing less than music sacrilege – and basically a really stupid move in yet another attempt to re-create her silly self.  But, since Madonna seems to be so good at continually deluding herself (and enough simpletons to keep her living well) into believing that defacing things is a commendable activity, well, the fact that she took this tune on isn't surprising.  Further proof that her ego is 100 times the size it ought to be. 

If you really want to watch something bad, then watch the video that Madonna did on this song!

If Don McLean wasn't dead, this version of the song probally would kill him.
