"I'll take "Sick, twisted and profoundly disturbing cover songs" for $500, Alex." Whatever were these two thinking?

The original was never one of my favorites, but what did Martha and the Vandellas ever do to warrant this desecration of their work by a near-mummified Mick Jagger and a slumming David Bowie, working in unison? Doesn't there ever come a point where these 2 guys (Jagger in particular) decide they've made enough money?

I bring you the famous bad video that has come down over these many decades.

This is a great 'bad' listing. . .one cold beer for the bright bulb who listed this stinker. . .this wasn't just awful, it was an unnecessary cover song. . .it was so 80's, garish, and awful I don't know where to begin. . .and Bowie and Jagger giving each other eye-to-eye looks made for a very uncomfortable time during my very innocent sexual development. . .I think this cover is indeed hated 'everywhere around the world!'. . .

A couple of legends embarassing themselves with a pointless and aggravating cover of the Martha and the Vandellas classic. It wasn't like there weren't 7,094 versions of this floating around already... On top of being annoying, this hit single featured a stupefyingly cheesy beginning in which Jagger and Bowie shouted out various countries and continents like a teacher giving the answers to a multiple choice geography quiz for 4th graders. I've never been able to eradicate Jagger's silly shout of "South.... A...MERICA" from my memory despite over 20 years of trying...
