Whitney Huston can sing, but no one sings this song like Dolly Parton. Dolly's version is far superior. If I remember correctly, Dolly also recorded this again sometime in the early or mid 90s as a duet with Vince Gill, which wasn't too bad either.

This is a fabulous song - full of emotion and feeling.  Whitney Huston blows anyone else away who even attempts to sing this song including its author.  I mean, kuddos to Dolly Parton for writing it and she does a credible job of singing it.  But, give me a break; she doesn't even come close to Huston.  On the other hand, I totally agree with Jamie McBain - it was/is way overplayed.

My only real complaint, is that it is overplayed.
