Jessica Simpson still isn't a great artist, but the original song was nothing but a reason to watch Nany Sinatra in skimpy clothing. I think Jessica Simpson's version was exactly the same thing. Its not like she took a great song and butchered it, like she has done before.

Its not that great in the original version, so this isn't much worse.

The video is interesting though.... Jessica washes a car pretty well....

Stick with the original by Nancy Sinatra. just because you dress like a hussy and belt out a song does not make it good. bad video too. shudder and turn it off.

Maybe it's only because I have such low expectations of Jessica Simpson, but it really wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.

  I was so upset when I heard this as I love Nancy Sinatra's original version and the video. 

This talentless Barbie however, comes along and desicrates any credibility left in this fun song. 

For me remakes are for those lazy artists and record companies that cannot be bothered to make a hit, but dig up someone else's and ruin it in the process. 

Miss Piggy did a better job with her version on the Pizza Hut commercial!

Nancy Sinatra wants to give a swift kick to Jessica's hinie for butchering her song.

The tragedy of having so little talent you have to go back 40 years to dig up a pop song only pre-teen girls liked at the time.  Yeah, honey, the boots were made for walking so, please put a pair on and, as the song says, "start walkin'".  Preferably off the end of a pier.

Good thing Frank didn't live to see/ hear this, or there'd be a bimbo at the bottom of the Hudson with cement shoes...

As if the original wasn't bad enough...

So you wear cut off jeans and like to rub up on cars. Okay.

The recording of this song and the absolutely horrid Dukes of Hazzard rip-off in the video really ought to be a hanging offense.  Watch the video to see if you agree.
