Never got how Obi-Wan actually died. I mean Vader clearly was stronger remarking that Kenobi's powers weakened with age and Obi-Wan was fending him off but how would him vanishing assure Luke's safety as opposed to using the lightsaber to cut down as many stormtroopers as possible?
