After disarming Darth Sidious, and deflecting his Lightning with his saber and apparently defeating the Sith, Windu had his arms cut off by a desperate Anakin Skywalker. Sidious then revealed his power was not depleted, and used his Lightning once again to throw Windu out of the window, down into the Coruscant streets, killing him.
