10/04/2007 | The invention of the battery is something that we often overlook, but just think of what life would be like without batteries. Automobiles wouldn't be the same without them. No starting your car with a key, and forget driving at night. Speaking of night, no flashlights. Portable music players, whether you like old school boom boxes or you're part of the ipod craze, it doesn't really matter, because you wouldn't have them. Calculators, remote controls, the list goes on.
