Don't miss it! This is a really great family treat when you go to Chicago.

It is amazing, but I always enjoyed aquariums.

I love the piranha feeding displays!

If you go here get the family passes, even if you only come downtown 2 times a year. The price of admission keeps going up and the family pass is worth it. Has a wonderful collection of aquatic fish from around the world. I love the tank in the middle of the floor. And it is one of the only aquariums in the world where you can see beluga whales. An amazing site to see.

Shedd Aquarium is one of the best Aquariums I have ever seen. I believe that the aquarium is on of the best zoological institutions in Chicago. It definately serpasses the crummy Brookfield Zoo.

An absolutely beautiful aquarium, with a terrific view along the lakefront that makes it look like the aquarium's pool is a continuous part of Lake Michigan. An amazing array of fish and mammals are covered here, including a fun dolphin show, a creepy shark exhibit, and surprisingly beautiful seahorses. Very impressive.

The Shedd Aquarium has no real flaws at all. Probably the most complete aquarium in the United States, Shedd boasts having fish from all over the world, and some of the biggest whales found in a public aquarium, namely, the Beluga Whales. Also, as someone else stated, the best place to get a photo of the Chicago skyline is from between the Shedd Aquarium and the Adler Planetarium.

Best view (photo opportunity) of downtown Chicago is from outside the Aquarium along the lakefront
