Even though I don't like Texas much because it is Bush's home state and half of the women there are cold blooded killers and murderers, I do like the fact that Texas does an excellent job of putting women who are cold blooded remorseless murderers on death row and executing them. Ohio never puts its female murderers on death row. Even Melissa Vanover, that evil Cincinnati stripper who robbed and killed her 48 year old boyfriend, was not given the death penalty for her evil crime. I just herd about a 30 year old woman in Eleria, Ohio, who was convicted of killing her 4 year old son and setting the home on fire. she faces the death penalty and I hope she gets it for what she did to that poor little kid. Texas's excellent record of putting its female murderers on death row and executing them should send a message to Ohio to start putting its convicted female murderers on death row.

 | LanceRoxas (40) 12/27/2004 | Hmmm? Put(?) capital punishment in all states. So much for republican federalism and the principles of democracy. And why exactly is this absolutely necessary? Does the death penalty reduce crime? No. Do we not have other options available to protect society? Does our legal system properly defend the rights of those being tried equally or do the rich receive a better defense and the poor pay with their lives?

 | Anonymous (1) 12/27/2004 | Capital punishment, in my view, is a cruel and unjust way to punish a criminal. It is a symbol of the old, intolerant, violent days when they did hangings. (And even some European countries have outlawed capital punishment, so why should America, the supposed Land of the Free, go the opposite way?)
