12/28/2004 | would certainly cut down on the number of pointless pot arrests. it's no worse than booze. personally i think all drugs should be legal, and then just give a stiff penalty if you break the law, such as you do w/drunk drivers.

12/28/2004 | This would be a sane person? Anyone who doesn't understand why marijuana is illegal should try something new, called historical research. If you're a pothead and you just want it de-criminalized without any reason other than hey, I like it, and I want to do it legally, then admit that. In this country, laws are changed through the legislative process by convincing a majority of your fellow citizens in the rightness and urgency of your cause. Nobody has done that.

12/27/2004 | I really don't understand why marijuana is illegal but alcohol is not. They have simular effects and consequences. Of course if you abuse anything, it's bad. It would be up to indivuduals to use it wisely.

Marijana has numerous negative side effects, including: disruption of linear and short-term memory, paranoia, agitation, anxiety, acerbation of previous medical disorders, dry mouth, headache, confusion, hypotension, and occasionally brain damage and death. It is also highly addictive. And, besides, who really wants to waste their money for something that, quite literally, goes up in smoke? The sane person would seek out and destroy this pesky plant forever!
