Uneven rehash of a familiar thriller theme. Readable, but nothing special.

Path of the Assassin was a good contemporary thriller. Its setting is a fictionalized version of the present. Thor's protagonists think "strike first" in the fight against terrorism. The view of the main character, Scot Horvath, is to seek justice for those who have been killed by terrorism. However, he is a person who desires to justify his actions and not taken innocent life. He is a modern hero who represents what I think many Americans wish to see the US strive for in the war on terror. Path of the Assassin was a good read, and I look forward to reading more of Brad Thor.
