I would take the NFL Rushing Leader any day.

As a rival fan who hates the Cowboys, I saw the greatest years of his career. . .yes, one must say that he benefited from a great offensive line and HOF offensive players. . .but Emmitt played hurt and performed big-time when the playoffs came around. . .terrific back. . .

A very durable back who could play hurt when needed, as in the playoffs. Blocked pretty well, could be elusive or run through guys when needed. The main thing was his longevity and that was what made him great and the All-time rushing leader.

He did have Troy Aikman, Barry Sanders had Scott Mitchell, Rodney Peete, Charlie Batch, Erik Kramer, Don Majkowski and Dave Krieg for crying out loud. Emmitt had a wonderful o-line full of Pro-Bowlers, he had the "Moose" and he had Irvin, Alvin Harper and Jay Novacek at Tight End! Barry had Herman Moore, who was a great posession receiver and a red zone guy, that is it!!!

I'm sorry I go with Barry!!! He was instant offense and didn't need anyone around him. If I'm a new owner I take him, build an awesome defensive and you are good to go.

Of course he had a tremendous line when he was in the Dallas backfield, but its not like he was Woody Allen back there.

The guy could rack up some yards on his own, and could put one on a defender if he had to.

Durable, too.
