 | CanadaSucks (45) 07/19/2007 | Just look at the highlight reel. . .those are better moves than the CGI-generated fight scenes from "The Matrix". . .Yes, injuries cut the career short but Gayle was unstoppable while healthy and you'd be hard-pressed to pass on this all-time great if you were building a team from scratch. . .when I think about highlights of Sayers running, all I can think of is a great line from a writer who once said, "He runs like little boys do in their wildest dreams."

 | louiethe20th (71) 07/19/2007 | It is not hard to predict what kind of numbers this man would have put up had he been healthy. He was definitely smooth . Not only a great running back, but a very deadly kick and punt returner too. Other than Barry Sanders, probobly the most elusive and agile runner in history.

 | irishgit (135) 07/18/2007 | See some film of this guy, and you'll understand why his team-mates called him "Magic." The man made cuts to holes that opened behind him.
That being said, durability is an issue, and with Sayers "deer in the headlights" running style, and relatively fragile body, career ending injury was always just a tackle away.
