This Athabaskan tribe in Alaska is known as Ikhka Khwaan, meaning roughly "copper digging people". Their language, also called Ahtna, faces extinction. Also knonwn as Ahtna, Inc, they oversee 1.5 million Alaskan acres, as well as, construction, pipeline maintenance, facilities maintenance, administrative and janitorial services, electrical contracting, fiber-optic telecommunication, forestry and gravel sales.
