Better watch out eating too much of that soy stuff. How the heck do you think cows stay so hefty?

I have been vegan for about 6 months now and I have lost about 30 lbs. I feel great and completely guilt free. It is very difficult to become vegan, but is definitely worth it. A big downside is that many restaurants just don't have anything suitable for a vegan. Sometimes you can tailor a certain menu item, ie: garden salad no cheese no croutons and with a vinegrette dressing. But that's complicated. You will have to get used to preparing more foods at home or by hand. So worth it though. You know exactly what's going into your body. And, in fact, you would be surprised what you can still eat as a vegan. You can have certain types of crackers, egg-free pastas, some margarines, and there's even junk food suitable for vegans like potato chips, french fries, some sorbets, butterless popcorn, etc. Also being a vegan, you open up your mind to new and exciting foods like, tempeh, seitan, vegan cheeses, vegan burgers, as well as how to prepare vegetables and fruits to your liking. The Vegan diet can be quite expensive or it could end up cheaper than a meat-based diet depending on what you buy. If you rely on prepackaged vegan foods or health foods you're gonna be paying more for groceries. But it can be cheaper if you live off of vegetables, fruits, nuts, breads, pastas, crackers, tofu, etc.
