This is the name of a Louisiana tribe and language that is extinct. It means 'brushwood'. These were among the first People to make contact with Europeans and theur culture was devastated. By 1820, there were only 20-30 left and they sought refuge with other Caddo tribes of present day East Texas, western Louisiana and portions of southern Arkansas and Oklahoma. Little is known about these People.
