Really funny, slightly off-the-wall stuff. David Leisure was hilarious - a cross between a ditz and a smart ass. Sadly, he didn't have as much luck with other ventures - but he kicked butt as Joe Isuzu.

One of the most underrated and funny pitchmen of the 80's. . .Joe was the smarmy salesman of a car company trying to muscle-in on American car territory (made easier by the horrific quality of the typical American auto in the 80's)

But Isuzu's genius was playing these ads during the NFL- most people (including chicks) thought they were kind of funny.

Joe Isuzu could outrun a bullet and catch it between his teeth. Unfortunately, the Isuzu vehicle couldn't outrun a cop on foot, and one too many times a speeding train caught it head-on at various railroad crossings.

on and off I vaguely remeber this guy. I remember he was a smart ass in his Isuzu commercials. 4 stars for that!

This guy, he was on Empty Nest too, was pretty entertaining and he reminds me of the 80's when even network TV was good.
